A Few Important Announcements

Grab your atlas, running shoes, (Spanish to English translator,) and a good book! You ready? Let’s go, fam!

I’ve got a few important(ish) announcements for all of you readers!

  1. As some of you know, I am writing a book with my co-author Esther “Star” J. Lawe. Aaand… we need an actual name for it [our book]. As amazing as our current name “Somethingsomethingblablabla” is, it doesn’t fit the book. At all. So Esther published a post on her blog about it that included a survey for the choosing of the name. The post is here. Please fill out our survey so we can have something catchy and accurate to call our book! ¡Muchas gracias!
  2. My blog is now “” instead of “”! So… yeah, it makes things more professional. Also, note that it has “kinda” not “kindof”. When I first started this blog, the name was “The Right Kinda Writer”, then I changed it, but I guess the URL didn’t.
  3. I am now able to make money on my blog through Wordpess ads! Now, of course, I do not have enough traffic to make money now… but if my amount of consistent readers grows, than, maybe. Just to let you all know!
  4. MY GOOD FRIEND FELICITY A. WALES IS PUBLISHED, AS OF A COUPLE DAYS AGO!!! Her book, Truth Through Fire (I came up with the name, btw XP) is available in both Kindle and paperback! Click here to find it on Amazon, where you can also read the synopsis and find other information on it! As her older spiritual brother and head editor, I am very proud of her (she turned 13 literally just a few months ago)! I, and I’m sure she, would deeply appreciate it if you support her by buying her! Not only that, but you’ll also get a good book to read! I can’t wait till the paperback arrives at my house!!!

I believe that is all for now! Thank you!

Crazy Writing Week Has Begun

Grab your atlas, running shoes, (Spanish to English translator,) and a good book! You ready? Let’s go, fam!

Crazy Writing Week, CWW, or Cdubs, has begun again! It was opened up on the 4th of January, but the actual competition between Fire and Water (or Air for the non-competitors) began today!

This is my third time doing it, and I’m with Team Water. I am confident that we will win! Despite me being on only losing teams my first two times… hehe.

For those who don’t know, CWW is an online week-long program of sorts geared towards youths of ages _ to _, to encourage them to write. Like. Crazy!

Whichever team gets the most minutes and words in at the end of the week, wins several prizes!

I strongly recommend to all you writers that haven’t joined already, joining.

The link for joining is here.

Despite this being my first week of school again, I am ready to write my hands off!! My words will swirl on the paper like a hurricane!

Some of my writing projects for CWW include…

  1. Future blog posts! Yes, I do have to constantly write for you guys all the time (*whispers* you’re welcome!).
  2. Beyond the Wolf. I’m sure you all by now know what it is. I have mentioned it multiple times.
  3. Homework. Yes, sadly, yesterday was my first day of school back from break. One my age can never forget homework….
  4. Umm… other stuff. Writing odds and ends. Other smaller works in progress…poems… ya know, those kinds of things.

Now here are things you should note before and while you join Ydubs!

  1. Beware the spaaaaam!!! Spam has a way of always finding you on CWW. So, you have been warned! Prepare yourself! Spam is one of the main reasons I actually left YWW.
  2. If you are in school while you participate in CWW, make a solid and dependable schedule! You might get distracted by things there.
  3. If you for some reason have little to no school, don’t keep your face glued to the screen! Take breaks! Believe it or not, breaks from writing a lot do help you write a lot later! Read a book. Hang out with your family. Go outside. Play with legos. Listen to an audiobook while you are playing legos outside with family!!
  4. If you want to win… take some time to outline your story or whatever! Trust me, it helps.
  5. If you don’t like competing, it’s fine! You can be part of the neutral Air team!

I do suggest joining it! It is super fun, and very helpful!

“Water gives life when fire only kills.

Don’t give up, Never cease,

Be the great droplets you were meant to be” -Emma “Limu Emu” Walker, Team Water Cdubber (member of Cdubs); part of “Let it Go” parody “Let it Flow”.

“Alone, we’re just droplets—but together, we are an ocean.” -Erin Bronn, Team Water Cdubber; Bronn’s motto for a game for her youth group.

“When fire dies, it only dies; water is involved in a neverending system. Let’s flow!!” -Rhiannon McGuire; Team Water Cdubber.

Snippet Series Announcement

Grab your atlas, running shoes, (Spanish to English translator,) and a good book! You ready? Let’s go, fam!

I must inform you that I will not be doing the snippet series, for I only received six votes; five people voted “yes”, and one voted “maybe”.

Maybe some other time I will “open” the poll again, when I have more readers or something like that.

Thank you to those who voted!

Vote! Snippet Series, or No Snippet Series?

Grab your atlas, running shoes, (Spanish to English translator,) and a good book! You ready? Let’s go, fam!

[This is not one of the weekly posts. Another one will be published at the end of this coming week, as usual]

Hey everyone! Yesterday, I was inspired with the idea of creating a snippet series for my blog of my main book that I’m working on. Basically, I would post a chapter of the book once every one or two weeks.

The book is called, “Beyond the Wolf”. Here is the temporary cover:

Here is the rough draft blurb:

Blaze. The name of the cruel wolf, Alpha of the Inferno Pack, brings fear into the hearts of many. He kills, steals, persecutes, and murders, all for one goal: to be the Alpha of  The Lands.

Two normal-sized packs of around fifty wolves and one small pack of just two in particular have endured much of the cruelty of the wolves of Blaze, and they have had enough.

By works of the Great Beast, Creator of all the Lands, the three packs happen to meet up while fleeing persecution. They band together, and send out a small group of  sixteen skilled wolves to gather allies to defeat at least a branch of the Inferno pack.

These young, brave wolves know that the journey will be long and hard, but they are prepared and ready to face whatever challenges will come their way, for the sake of their family, friends, and the honor and glory of the Great Beast.

But before I start posting anything from it, I want to hear from my readers! What do all of you think of it? I am attaching a poll that all of you can vote through! Once I get to at least ten votes, I’ll “close” the poll, and make my choice based on the results!

Me, Myself, and My Blog

Grab your atlas, running shoes, (Spanish to English translator), and a good book! You ready? Let’s go, fam!

A bit (Danny, don’t lie), Alright, a lot about me:

¡Hola! Welcome to my blog! Me llamo Daniel Amador (obviously). I am a 14-year-old 8th grade/high school/college level student living in the 3rd most populous city in the U.S., home to the 2nd largest skyscraper and very first skyscraper in the U.S., world famous museums, etc. You guessed it(I hope): Chicago!

I’m a short, half-Mexican, Christian, geography geek, whose favorite animals are dogs and moose.

I am also a runner and YouTuber, and am homeschooled (though I do go to a co-op).

Jesus is the most important thing in my life, and he has blessed me with 7 awesome siblings, two amazing parents, and un perro fabuloso!

Another thing you should know about me is that I love to rant, particularly about geography and, um, myself. Not because I’m boastful (though I won’t say I’m not, because that would be… boastful), but just because I love sharing information, and my accomplishments, so people can understand and know me better.

Now to continue…

I love debating (though I’m not good at it), reading, photography, and especially writing, which is why I decided to write this blog.

My relation to writing:

I am a co-author, author(though I’ve never actually finished a book before), poet, song artist, journalist, alpha, and now a blogger!

Most of my relatives are authors, missionaries, pastors, and teachers, and I am proud of my kin.

My parents, siblings and I are all writers, in one way or another. I have been writing my entire life. Mostly it was just comics and one-two books I was working on.

I had always been one of the most advanced kids in my literature class, but the time I started to write a bit more seriously was when I started a newspaper for my co-op. The first issue was “published” April 12, 2019. The last issue was published March 13, 2020, several days before quarantine. I started writing a bit more seriously on April 16, a month after quarantine started, give or take a few days, when I focused my writing more on books, but still writing for our co-op’s digital newspaper.

On May 27th, I joined an online website called Young Writers’ Workshop, which is when I really took writing to a whole new level in my life.

I don’t exactly know how to describe YWW, since I am terrible at anything technology-related.

It’s basically this online Christian website that helps teens and young adults grow in writing, through an online community where you can interact and talk with other writers worldwide and videos where the instructors and creators of YWW teach and talk about writing.

It really did help me grow in my writing SO much, but, sadly, I left it in late-September for reasons that have to do with cash and school. I recommend it for anyone who is serious about writing!
Now, enough about me, because I have been ranting about myself for a while (hehe, sorry). Now for…

What I am going to do on this blog:

  1. I will write short, Christ-related stories. They may be modern-time versions of Bible stories, Bible stories in different perspectives, or fiction short stories that point to Jesus.
  2. Advice on writing and such that just comes to my mind, and seems interesting.
  3. I will answer your questions to the best of my ability! You can ask questions through the Contact page, or in the comments, so, if you have any questions on writing (or anything else I mentioned I understood, Ex: running, geography) and such, please ask me! I will typically answer 1-3 questions in one post.
  4. A fourth thing that I may or may not have are interviews! I will typically interview writing friends on writing and such, but I may interview others every once in a while.
  5. I will possibly do book (and maybe movie) reviews.
  6. Finally, I may possibly put in a random post occasionally.

I will typically post a, um, post once a week, or once every two weeks, so keep your eyes out for new articles!

Thanks so much for reading this, and I hope this blog will be a blessing to you and others!

With God’s help,

Daniel L. Amador
